Make your own Natural beauty products workshop
Sunday 7th June 2026 *in person event*
Make your own Natural beauty products - Holme Village Community Centre, near Holmfirth, West Yorkshire. Cost £75 per person. To book your place, simply message me on 07775920079.
The aim of this workshop is to give you the confidence and know-how to create your own beauty products at home using natural ingredients. Some of the products you will make yourself during the workshops to take home (your own facial oil, body/massage oil, bath salts and lip balm) and others will be demonstrated for you to do at home. The workshop is aimed at beginners but I hope those with some experience will also gain fresh insight and knowledge. No prior knowledge is needed; just an open mind and a desire to learn more about herbal medicine and the wonder of Nature. All the workshops I offer are designed to complement each other or to be done independently.
Morning session
We begin by looking at the needs of the skin and different products we will be making and the ingredients you’ll be using including herbs and herbal infusions, base oils, essential oils, macerated oils, emulsifiers, and other natural stuff, lots of which you’ll find in your kitchen. In the morning session, we focus on the face including steam baths, herbal washes and toners, face scrubs, cleansing oils and beauty balms as well as discussing natural solutions for problem skin. You'll also blend your own facial oil to take home.
Throughout the day we also discuss herbal teas and nutritional tips to promote clear radiant skin and natural beauty.
Afternoon session
Back in the classroom with a herbal tea, I’ll demonstrate how to make a beautiful macerated herbal oil that can be used on its own or how you can add essential oils and other ingredients to turn it into a beauty or body salve or lip balm. I’ll also discuss simple essential oil blends and show you how you can make coconut oil based bath melts and essential oil infused bath salts which are perfect for gifts. We’ll then look at how to emulsify the oil base with water or herbal infusions to create a gorgeous cream and discuss different preservative options.
We then hopefully have a short time left to consolidate all that we’ve learned and answer any questions so that you leave feeling full of confidence and inspired to create your own herbal lotions and potions at home.
